Delta Health System Honors Staff During National Hospital Week

As part of the nationwide celebration of National Hospital Week, observed May 10–16, 2026, Delta Health System is proud to recognize and thank its dedicated healthcare professionals whose commitment, compassion, and resilience define the heart of the organization.

The 2026 theme, “Healing Happens Here”, highlights the people who make a difference every day through their service, skill, and dedication to patient care. According to the American Hospital Association, hospitals and health systems across the country deliver millions of babies each year, care for tens of millions of patients, and serve as a cornerstone of the communities they support.

Iris Stacker, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Health System, expressed her appreciation for the team’s continued dedication and commitment, “National Hospital Week is a meaningful opportunity to recognize the extraordinary individuals who make our mission possible. Every role within Delta Health System contributes to the care and comfort of our patients. I am continually inspired by the compassion, teamwork, and professionalism demonstrated across our organization. Our team’s dedication truly reflects the strength of our community.”

National Hospital Day was established in 1921 to build trust in hospitals following the Spanish flu outbreak of 1918. It later expanded into a weeklong celebration in 1953, aligning with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, whose pioneering work helped shape modern nursing and hospital care.

Chrissy Nicholson, Chief Human Resources Officer, also shared her gratitude, “Our employees are the foundation of everything we do. Their commitment to quality care, support for one another, and focus on our patients are what set Delta Health System apart. During National Hospital Week, we are proud to celebrate their hard work and the positive impact they have on the lives of those we serve.”

Throughout the week, Delta Health System will host a variety of staff appreciation events and recognitions to honor the contributions of all employees.
