Community Focus
At Delta Health System, caring for our community extends far beyond the walls of our hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities. We are committed to improving the health and well-being of the Mississippi Delta by building strong partnerships and supporting organizations that make a difference in the lives of our residents.
We proudly work alongside Washington County, local municipalities, colleges and universities, school districts, United Way of Washington County, Delta Cotton Belles, 100 Black Men, civic groups, sororities, fraternities, faith-based organizations, churches, and numerous nonprofit agencies throughout the region. Through these partnerships, we help educate, inform, and empower individuals to take an active role in their health and wellness.
Our outreach efforts include participation in community health fairs, school events, wellness programs, educational workshops, and public speaking engagements. Delta Health System team members routinely provide free health screenings, including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and other preventive health services designed to identify potential health concerns early and encourage healthy lifestyles.
In addition to traditional health fairs, our physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals regularly share health information with local businesses, civic organizations, churches, schools, and community groups. We also support community events and health initiatives sponsored by sororities, fraternities, nonprofit organizations, and faith-based partners across Washington County.
By working together with community leaders and organizations, Delta Health System is helping build a healthier future for the Mississippi Delta, one person, one family, and one community at a time.
