Dr. Salako hails from Chicago, Illinois. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology at The University of Illinois at Chicago. She attended the American University of Integrative Sciences School of Medicine, Barbados.

Her medical interests include women’s health and research. Over the years she has enjoyed advocating for women and being a constant support for them.

In her spare time, Ola loves watching Nollywood, Bollywood, Korean dramas, and swimming. She comes from a tight knit family and especially cracking jokes with her amazing 7-year-old son, Gabriel.

Dr. Smith was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended college at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Spanish. He attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies.

His medical interests include rural primary care and addiction medicine, focused around education patients on the importance of eating healthy, exercising daily, eliminating nicotine use, and getting adequate sleep.

His hobbies include chess, fishing, traveling, bowling, and reading.

“I am honored and blessed to be able to work with such a fine group of individuals within the Delta Health System that share the same goals that I do: providing great patient care while treating the patient as a person and not a number. Nobody likes to be treated as if they are a number. Compassion has escaped medicine and we are here to bring it back.”

George Stevens, D.O.

Home - Valley Park, MO

Dr. Stevens was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He earned his first undergraduate degrees at the Art Institute of Washington and at Truman State University. He received his master’s degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed medical school at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

His medical interest centers around rural primary care and the integration of osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) in the treatment of acute and chronic pain for the promotion of whole-patient wellness.

During his free time, he enjoys writing, painting, medical illustration, and weightlifting.

“I am proud to be a part of the Delta Health System team, where community health is front and center. The opportunity to train in the same patient population I plan to practice in is a blessing. I am particularly grateful to be in a position where I can extend my unique skills as an osteopathic physician to those most in need. Crucially, the dynamic of any team is key to the goal. Here, the residents are all very close and the faculty/staff feel like family. I could not think of a better place to complete my residency training and look forward to all the future holds.”

Gideon Yeboah, M.D.

Medical School - Caribbean Medical University, Curacao
Home - Gastonia, NC

Dr. Yeboah was born in Ghana, West Africa and moved to the United States with his family in 2002. His undergraduate colleges were Gaston College and Queens University. He attended medical school at Caribbean Medical University and earned an MPH degree from Walden University. He is currently working towards a DrPH degree from Walden University.

His medical interests include inpatient and outpatient medicine, especially the opportunity to provide excellent medical care and foster great patient-physician relationships.

In his free time, he likes to travel and spend time relaxing with family and friends.

“I chose MSMERC because of the caring nature of the staff. I feel blessed and am excited about the opportunity to train in the program. I look forward to learning and working with my colleagues, learning from the Attending Physicians, and doing my part to impact lives here in the Delta and beyond.”
