Financial Assistance

The Medical Center is committed to providing quality, accessible healthcare to everyone. Our policy is to provide services without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or handicap. The Medical Center will provide uncompensated services for those patients who have emergency conditions and/or can demonstrate that they do not have adequate financial resources to pay for the care provided.

Federal and state laws require that all hospitals must seek payment for care provided. This means unpaid bills can ultimately be turned over to a collection agency, which can affect your credit status. Therefore, it is important to contact Patient Accounts if you think you may experience a problem with paying your bill. We treat all questions and personal information with confidentiality and courtesy.

Charity Care

To ensure that excellent medical care is available to all of our patients, The Medical Center has a charity care program to assist the uninsured or under-insured. You may receive assistance up to 100 percent based on your income and assets. If we provide Financial Assistance to an individual, that individual will not be charged more than the generally billed amounts for emergency and medically necessary care. The Medical Center Financial Counselors are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to answer questions concerning billing, payment options or charity care. Financial counselors are located in the Main Campus and also at the Pavilion. Financial Counselors may be contacted by calling 662-725-2757 or 662-725-2855.

If you do not have insurance, you may qualify for discounted medical services. You must fill out an application in order to be considered for these discounts.
