Delta Health System Announces Incoming Family Medicine Residents

Iris Stacker, Delta Health System Chief Executive Officer, announced the incoming Mississippi Delta Family Medicine Residents began their three-year program July 1, 2024. The new residents join the current nine residents who have completed first or second-year rotations.
“The residency program recently graduated the second class and on behalf of Delta Health System, I welcome the new class of residents. The MS Delta Family Medicine Residency Program continues to improve practices and standards, so it is always an exciting moment to introduce new physicians to the program and the Delta,” said Stacker.

- Honorine Kebe, M.D., MPH, St. Matthew University School of Medicine, Grand Cayman
- Kagi Laki, M.D., Xavier University School of Medicine
- Rishita Minamareddy, M.D., Narayana Medical College and Hospital, Nellore
- Sepi Nazerian, D.O., Tehran Medical School
- Sumit Saini, M.D., Kasturba Medical College, India
"We welcome 10 new residents to our program, to the city of Greenville, and to the Mississippi Delta. This class is an exceptional group of physicians who will have an immense impact on our community and our patients,” said Dr. Brent Smith, MS Delta Family Residency Program Director.
The Mississippi Medical Education and Research Consortium (MSMERC) strives to create learner and patient centered environments that stress compassionate care, integrity, inclusivity, academic excellence, scholarship, adaptability, and social responsibility. The first-year residency program includes many facets such as Didactics and Presentations, Communications, Nursing Home, and Scholarly Activity and Research.
