Delta Health System is Awarded Dental Carts By the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation

Greenville, MS – Delta Health System is pleased to announce that it has received funding from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation to purchase two new Midmark Asepsis21 Hygienist dental surgery carts with self-contained water systems. These state-of-the-art carts will be used in oral surgeries, expanding Delta Health System’s ability to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient dental surgical care to patients across the Delta.

Dental health is more than just about a smile—it is directly connected to overall health. Research has shown that oral health is linked to heart disease, diabetes, pregnancy outcomes, and other serious health conditions. Access to advanced equipment like the Asepsis21 carts helps DHS ensure patients receive excellent dental surgical care while reducing risks associated with untreated oral disease.

“We are extremely grateful to the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation for their generous support,” said Iris Stacker, CEO of Delta Health System. “This investment in dental surgery carts strengthens our ability to serve patients with the highest level of care and underscores the importance of oral health as a cornerstone of overall well-being. The Foundation’s partnership has been invaluable to us as we work together to improve health outcomes for the people of the Mississippi Delta.”

This funding builds on the strong partnership between Delta Dental Community Care Foundation and Delta Health System. Together, the organizations are currently supporting multiple initiatives aimed at improving oral health access in the Delta region, including community-based oral health programs, preventative care initiatives, and patient education efforts.

“Delta Health System exemplifies what’s possible when local leadership and strategic investment come together to expand access to care,” said Kenzie Ferguson, vice president, Delta Dental Community Care Foundation “We’re proud to partner with them to strengthen oral health infrastructure and advance whole-person health throughout the Mississippi Delta. By investing in advanced equipment and community partnerships, Delta Health System and the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation are working to ensure that families in the Mississippi Delta not only have access to critical oral health services but also understand the vital role dental health plays in overall wellness.”
