Delta Health System to Host "Men’s Evening Out" in Honor of Men’s Health Month

Delta Health System is proud to invite the community to Men’s Evening Out, a special event celebrating Men’s Health Month, on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The event will take place at the MS Family Residency Clinic Didactic Room located at 300 S. Washington Avenue, Greenville, and is open to adults of all ages seeking to learn more about men’s health in an engaging and supportive environment. The evening will feature healthcare providers addressing key issues in men’s wellness, preventive care, and lifestyle improvements. Attendees will enjoy refreshments and receive valuable health information tailored specifically for men.

Iris Stacker, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Health System, emphasized the importance of proactive health awareness: "Men often put their health on the back burner. Our goal with this event is to provide an opportunity for men to come together, ask questions, and gain the knowledge they need to take charge of their health. Men’s Health Month is the perfect time to start that conversation, and we’re proud to lead the way."

Men’s Health Month is recognized in June in conjunction with Father’s Day being celebrated the third Sunday of the month. This timing was likely chosen to coincide with the celebration of fathers and to encourage men to think about their health as part of their overall well-being. The month of June serves as a reminder to men to take proactive steps towards a healthier lifestyle, including regular check-ups, healthy eating, and exercise. Men's Health Month also aims to address the fact that men often lag behind women in seeking preventative healthcare, which can lead to poorer health outcomes.

Stacker added, “Far too often, men are conditioned to stay silent about their health concerns,” said Iris Stacker. “But real strength comes from taking action. Prioritizing physical and mental well-being is not a sign of weakness—it is a smart, responsible choice that benefits not only men themselves but also their families and communities.”
