Delta Health System Honors Dedicated Nurses During National Nurses Week

Delta Health System proudly joins healthcare organizations across the country in celebrating National Nurses Week, May 6–12, 2025. This week serves as a special time to honor the extraordinary contributions of nurses who provide compassionate, expert care every day in our hospitals and communities.

“Our nurses provide not only outstanding clinical care, but also the compassion and support that embody our commitment to patient-centered healthcare,” said Iris Stacker, Chief Executive Officer. “During National Nurses Week, we take this moment to celebrate their tireless dedication and unwavering professionalism”

Delta Health System will recognize its nursing staff with a series of appreciation events throughout the week. These events are a small gesture of thanks for the invaluable work nurses perform across every department.

Kiyo Holmes, Chief Nursing Officer, added, “Nursing is more than a profession — it is a calling. Our nurses show up every day with strength, compassion, and resilience. I am incredibly proud of the care they provide, the innovation they bring, and the leadership they demonstrate across all levels of our organization. National Nurses Week is a moment to lift them up and say thank you.”

National Nurses Week culminates on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. As the nation reflects on the impact of nurses in advancing health care, Delta Health System remains committed to supporting its nursing workforce through continued education, career development, and a culture of excellence.
